A Reflection of an Introduction

I wrote to myself once...to you as well:

"You know how in "Amazing Grace" it says, "I once was lost, but now am found"?? Well, that's exactly how I feel...and that is why I have decided to pursue my passions in life; so that never again am I left feeling lost within myself, wandering aimlessly through a thick fog, trapped in a cage that I created, trying to fit into a mold formed by another's perception of me... I am choosing to hear the song that plays only in my mind and my heart; a song that awakens my soul... :) But most of all, I want to share it with YOU!! And maybe you too will begin to hear that song...never ending...an eternal fire."

Yet somehow, I once was found, but now am lost...

So, Here I am, Tending the Fire...

And just like that, her world fell silent

Yesterday a fading dream

Today she'll struggle to take a breath

Without air...

Could you breathe?

Please don't ask her how she is

Where she's going

Where she's been

She's just gonna lie in the end

Lie there quiet

Lie in bed

Lie awake

Until the light shines in

And tomorrow she'll try to catch her breath

With the little bit of air that's left

She'll dry her eyes

Take time to reflect

And take in a long deep breath

Without air...

Could you breathe?
